The problem
Meridian had three offices across Melbourne, Auckland and Lisbon. Their weekly Monday standup was a 45-minute call over Zoom, attended by everyone, at hours that were painful for at least one office every week. Decisions made in that call were re-made on Slack later — nobody remembered the reasoning.
How TechSync fit in
Switched fully to TechSync async standups. The Monday call still exists but only when there's a decision that actually needs a synchronous conversation — about once a month. Decisions now live in threaded updates attached to issues.
Today
Meridian was one of our earliest customers. They moved from a spreadsheet + Slack setup to TechSync in February 2022. At the time they were 9 people; today they're 34. They use the Business plan because Priority Inbox became critical once they started taking on enterprise design clients whose support questions need routing between delivery and design teams.
"We used to sit in a 45-minute call across three time zones every Monday. Now everyone posts in TechSync by 10am their time, and the call only happens when there's actually something to discuss."
